Job Title: DOT Compliance Specialist
Job Summary:
The DOT Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing the Driver Safety Program and ensuring the safety and compliance of the day-to-day operations of the Transportation Division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain current DOT medical certification, random drug testing and licensing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain Driver Qualification Files for all DOT regulated drivers.
- Manage Safety Program that utilizes an industry leading dash-camera platform.
- Daily payroll entry for drivers and other support personnel within the Division.
- Maintain knowledge and skills to successfully navigate changing DOT rules and regulations.
- Work closely with HR to on-board new drivers that includes DOT application review, road test, MVR, background check, drug test, medical certificate, and FMCSA Clearinghouse report.
- Assist with annual inspections and registrations.
- Process and review all inspections and citations.
- File and maintain records, reports, and reference materials.
- Develop and review reports regarding fleet performance and compliance as needed.
- Train and coach drivers on use of eLog and DVIR platform, as well as other in-cab technology, as applicable.
- Performs additional administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bilingual English / Spanish, with verbal and written fluency preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in a Transportation Supervision role preferred.
- Compliance knowledge of Federal and State regulations required for a multi-dimension fleet of vehicles.
- Ability to manage in-cab technology and GPS Management.
- Strong experience with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
