Job Title: Talent Acquisition Manager
Job Summary: The Talent Acquisition Manager leads a team of senior Talent Acquisition Specialists in delivering full life cycle recruiting across the organization. This role provides strategic direction, mentorship, and expert guidance to ensure effective talent strategies, strong stakeholder partnerships, and the successful attraction and retention of top talent.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of senior Talent Acquisition Specialists, providing strategic direction, removing roadblocks, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality hiring outcomes across all projects and divisions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational goals, workforce planning, and evolving needs of the construction industry.
- Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers, offering expert consultation on talent needs, role design, labor market trends, and competitive compensation strategies.
- Drive innovation in sourcing and selection, leveraging creative approaches and industry networks to attract top talent for both field and professional roles, including hard-to-fill and specialized construction positions.
- Oversee recruiting performance metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, candidate conversion, quality of hire) and provide insights and forecasting to inform leadership decisions.
- Champion the candidate experience, ensuring all stages—from outreach to onboarding—reflect the company’s values.
- Represent the company’s brand at industry and community events, trade schools, and professional organizations to strengthen talent pipelines and promote long-term workforce development.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, maintaining integrity and consistency across all hiring practices.
- Continuously assess and improve talent acquisition processes and technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, operations, and leadership to anticipate workforce demands and proactively address talent gaps.
Education, Qualifications, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or relevant field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition.
- Experience in the heavy civil construction industry is required - strong understanding of field operations, project roles, and workforce dynamics.
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting top talent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
