Job Title:  Shop Mechanic

Job Summary:  

The Shop Mechanic will primarily perform repairs and preventive maintenance on light and medium duty trucks. This position will be based out of our Company's main shop facility in Frisco, TX.

Duties and Responsibilities:      

• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
• Check batteries, examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
• Attach test instruments to diagnose malfunctions.
• Report and correct vehicle defects, or damage to vehicles/equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 2+ years’ experience as a mechanic, or equivalent, required.
• Includes experience diagnosing and repairing AC systems, breaks, performing tune-ups and troubleshooting engine/trans fault codes.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Degree, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, required. 
• Must be able to provide tools.
• Welding and fabrication. (Preferred)
• Heavy duty truck trouble shooting fault codes and repair. (Preferred)
• Off road equipment trouble shooting fault codes and repair. (Preferred)
