Job Title:  Surface Miner Operator

Job Summary:  

The Surface Miner Operator works with an established team responsible for the scheduling, operation, and service of three Surface Miners.  The team works on highly specialized rock excavation projects primarily around the DFW area. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an interest in unique challenges, a teamwork culture, and a desire for growth potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:      

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders to extract minerals from the earth's surface
• Ensure that equipment is maintained and repaired as needed
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
• Communicate with other team members to ensure that work is completed efficiently and effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or mining environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license
